Faceless Marketing

faceless marketing

If you have been looking at starting an online business you might have thought you needed to show your face to get leads to your business.

In this article we are going to explore other options that can be more suited to people who are either, introverted or want to keep anonymity. Another reason to go faceless is because you might struggle with talking on camera, maybe you don’t want to have any pre-conceived judgments about how you look. Going faceless means it doesn’t matter how your hair looks, what you are wearing or where you are when creating the content. If you don’t have an aesthetic home to film content in then explore these options below.

There are three main ways to do faceless content.

  1. Faceless video

  2. Writing

  3. Adverts

When creating faceless videos you can use stock footage to create reels for either, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. Then on top of the footage use text, emojis or screenshots to share about your business.

You can find stock footage available on a lot of different places, one is Canva. Think about how you want your brand to come across, what the content is about, color and style of text.

When building an online business, thinking about what aligns with your personality is important, do you prefer editing videos or do you prefer writing?

If you prefer writing, blogging can be a great way to build up a business that you own. When building a blog you are driving traffic to your own platform not to someone else’s like Instagram or TikTok. When driving traffic to your own platform, your potential customer isn’t going to be distracted with someone else’s service or product like they could for example on Etsy. It also gives you more of an opportunity to build a more meaningful connection with your customer as you can write articles about multiply aspects of your business.

Blogging can be a relaxed way to promote your business as your customers can browse around your content in their own time. You can also express yourself and talk about your business in long form.

If you are someone who prefers to consume long form content then you might find it easier to express yourself and about your business in a long form way.

There can be many ways to build an online business and one that aligns with your personality, what you enjoy and how you want to express yourself.

If you have money available to promote your business, adverts can be another way to promote your business without having your face on camera. You can promote faceless videos, images and text on Facebook or Pinterest adverts.
